The experience you help create will be varied and inspiring: cooking over flame, hosting relaxed outdoor feasts, sharing generous platters at the table, and designing menus that evolve with the seasons. Innovation sits comfortably alongside tradition, as we craft distinctive dining moments for small groups of well-travelled guests. Our kitchen team is supportive, ambitious and expanding and driven by collaboration with a shared desire to continually elevate what we do.

Key Responsibilities
Take pride in undertaking all required tasks and in delivering to the highest standards
Prepare all ingredients with care and respect, avoiding waste
Take instructions on tasks to be completed and ensure you have a clear understanding of timelines and priorities
Develop knowledge and capability over time with the aim of standing in for the Chef de Partie when required in future
Comfortable moving between busy and quiet periods and utilising the latter in a positive way e.g. learning and development
Support all kitchen staff in a positive and proactive way, ensuring that a “one team” approach is always maintained and that everyone works collaboratively to provide the best guest experience, and to support each other
Be passionate about developing your skills further and embrace new learning opportunities
Support other Wildland venues as required
Embrace the ethos and values of Wildland and ensure that direct reports do likewise
Behave as a custodian of our carefully crafted culture, taking personal responsibility for engaging positively with all team members and demonstrating respect for their contribution
Place a high value on health and safety and encourage others to do likewise

Who you are
To be successful in this role, you will be a people person with a strong willingness to learn from a talented and forward-thinking brigade. You may already have some professional kitchen experience or have spent time as a KP. Most importantly, however, you will have decided that being a Chef is what you want to do and you’ll have the work ethic and desire to learn that will help you succeed. We’ll support you with the rest.
