The Role
Wildland offers a rare opportunity to contribute to one of the largest private conservation efforts in Scottish history. You will become trusted advisor to our Business Managers in Nature, Build and Hospitality operations, leading our People Business Partner Team to implement our People & Culture Strategy across our Regions, ensuring our purpose, vision, values are embedded in every aspect of our WildLand Teams’ experience. You will manage the day-to-day operational delivery striving for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective implementation of People & Culture strategies to effective operational delivery which consistently demonstrates added value to our culture, team and businesses
- Implement employee engagement strategies to enhance morale, retention, and productivity, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose across diverse teams
- Support initiatives that connect employees to nature, heritage, build, hospitality and community
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters, aligned to our values and ethos whilst ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices
- Oversee the attraction, recruitment, selection, and onboarding of potential WildLand talent who are aligned to our purpose and values
- Support the design and delivery of training and development programs to upskill employees and nurture leadership potential
- Collaborate with the People & Culture Director to design and deliver training programs that promote professional growth and life-long learning
- Collaborate on succession planning and career development initiatives
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making
- Partner with the People & Culture Director to align People and HSE strategies with organisational objectives
- Act as a key advisor to leadership on resource planning, organisational development, and change management

Who you are
You will be a warm, engaging and approachable individual, holding the same values as our team, with teamwork at the core and a drive to work towards the common goals of the company. You will have a proven track record of delivering positive impact in a generalist HR or People Manager role, be able to demonstrate the ability to implement and manage change programmes. You’ll have strong interpersonal and communication skills with references as a Trusted Advisor, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across remote teams. Finally, you’ll have a real passion for nature, heritage, ‘Highland Hospitality’ and community development.
It would be a benefit for candidates to hold CIPD qualification or equivalent, with experience in hospitality, conservation, or rural enterprise and working knowledge of Scottish employment law and rural workforce dynamics.
