Land and Conservation Keeper - WildLand Cairngorm
One Wild Team
“In nature, nothing stands alone. The whole supports the parts, and at the same time, the parts support the whole. And they do so effortlessly. “
One Wild Way
We aim to empower our amazing team to take ownership and become strong, self-reliant leaders who can guide themselves in Wildland.
We consistently aim to improve ways of working, setting new standards for how we work, making it simple, warm, and welcoming for everyone.
Reporting Line: Head Keeper, Cairngorms
The Role
Your primary role as part of the Cairngorm Conservation Team is to deliver the operational requirements of deer management and all aspects of the Land & Forestry Strategy Plan under the direction of the Cairngorm Head Keeper. You will also partner with the Land & Conservation Coordinators, Field Ecologist, Third Party Ecologists, and Stakeholders, working cohesively to develop knowledge and understanding to have a positive impact on our Estates. In addition, you will represent our Conservation Story with our hospitality guests and visitors through supporting the activities provided, such as Conservation tours.
Wildland Leadership & Teamwork
Leadership is not hierarchical. It is about how we all show up as Wildlanders.
Wildland Leadership seeks a Servant Leadership Mindset whereby we think of others first; we build community, and we turn the pyramid upside down. There is a sense of accountability for the successful performance of others.
Being a Positive Team Player is about all of us owning our own behaviours and how we support each other without detracting from each other. A team player is someone who prioritizes the goals of the team rather than their own personal or professional interests. Team players know the best way to achieve their own success is to help their entire team succeed.
