The Role
WildLand is seeking an experienced IT Business Manager to establish and lead our in-house IT function. This role is critical as we transition from relying solely on external support to also building internal IT expertise.
The successful candidate will work closely with our trusted IT partner to provide seamless day-to-day IT support, ensure robust infrastructure and security, and lead IT-related projects, including system implementations and IT infrastructure for new build projects. Additionally, the role will involve budget management, ensuring the effective allocation of resources and long-term sustainability of our IT operations.

Key Responsibilites

- Deliver a consistent high performance in the IT Function
- Align with our People Ethos and Health & Safety requirements.
- Ensure a high quality end to end experience and support for WildLand Team including onboarding, training and trouble shooting.
- Ensure WildLand’s IT infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure to meet current and future business needs.
- Develop and implement a long-term IT strategy in alignment with WildLand’s growth and business objectives, including and not restricted to operational expenses and capital investments, ensuring cost-effective and strategic allocation of resources.
- Lead capital planning for IT infrastructure, ensuring future-proof solutions that support organisational growth and innovation.
- Provide financial oversight for IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead all IT Projects through effective project management and stakeholder management.
- Manage relationships with external service providers and evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts for IT services, hardware, and software procurement.
- Ensure IT Governance and Compliance, including establishing IT policies and procedures and , ensuring compliance with relevant data protection laws (e.g., GDPR),; maintain and update IT asset registers, licensing agreements, and security protocols.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in a multi-site or growing organisation.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network management.
- Experience in IT project management, including system implementations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management and capital IT planning.
- Familiarity with working alongside external IT service providers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Relevant IT certifications
- Experience supporting IT needs in hospitality, conservation, or property development sectors
